President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is scheduled to visit Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, on June 25 to commission two major infrastructure projects that mark a significant milestone in the state’s development journey.
Among the projects is a newly constructed flyover and underpass along the Jos and Shendam Road Expressway, a dual intervention aimed at easing traffic congestion, boosting trade, and enhancing urban mobility.
Also set for inauguration is the ultra-modern State Secretariat Complex, built to strengthen governance and administrative efficiency across the state’s ministries, departments, and agencies.
Governor Abdullahi Sule, alongside key stakeholders, is expected to receive the President, whose visit is seen as a strong reaffirmation of federal support for subnational development.

Former Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar Adamu, CFR, described the President’s intervention as “visionary,” noting that the projects are not just infrastructural achievements, but enduring symbols of purposeful leadership.
The commissioning ceremony is expected to draw top government officials, traditional rulers, and citizens who view the projects as transformational for the state.
Retired IGP Muhammed Abubakar Adamu, in a message to mark the upcoming occasion, praised President Tinubu’s enduring commitment to democratic ideals.
He urged the citizens to keep the flame of democracy burning, strengthen national unity and to unlock the nation’s vast potential through inclusive governance and unwavering civic engagement.
